What is dual camera mobile phone?
A dual camera phone refers to a smartphone which has dual cameras on the rear. The built in dual camera is actually a dual lens camera which is also called stereo cameraand makes the picture more vivid and detailed. Double camera helps in focusing better on objects, both camera capture image from their perspective and then are merged and this helps in changing focus or better depth perception, and they will provide a good photography experience for users, maybe that’s why people like dual camera mobile phones.
Generally dual camera mobile phone have various setups:
Dual camera primary with telephoto which has a telephoto lens it provides a proper bokeh and lens blur, Bokeh is the word for Blurred background, the one you see in photographs taken by professionals through expensive DSLRs. Bokeh is affected by a few factors: the lens design, the relative depth of field, and the aperture of the lens. Dual camera setup can provide information like distance measurements, and depth of field data which can be in turn used by a software to give Fake bokeh effect to your photos.
Dual camera with wide angle which has a wide field of view which has one lens with wide field of view; on DSLR cameras, separate wide angle lenses are used capture wide angle pictures. With dual lens camera options, users can now capture pictures with wide angle framing on smartphones.
Dual camera mobile phone come with better white Balance and Low Light Performance and 3D image, the two cameras can capture two different photos from different angle to make a 3D image. And dual camera option allows users to have control on Optical Zoom which enhances zoom capacity on the device. Optical Zoom can produce better quality close up images without losing clarity or pixels. The dual lens on a smartphone, provide 2 focal lengths, with 1x and 2x magnification.
Dual Camera is the future of smartphone photography. In the coming days almost all smartphones will sport a dual camera setup. But keep one thing in mind you cannot say dual camera is always better than single camera because photography depends on a lot of factors. About dual camera phone and single battery phone which one is better, I think the users experiences are very important. Here are some viewpoint from Quora:
Yes dual cameras do give you an edge, but not always. The dual cameras in the KXD K30 and the KXD T55 offer a telephoto lens which provides better zoom. The dual cameras in the KXD Y20 offer you a wider angle shot.
Is having 2 eyes better than having one eye, sounds silly doesn’t it. But think it logically having one good eye is better than having 2 bad eyes. So irrespective of number of camera’s its the quality and capabilities that matter. You may find various mixes of dual camera like Huawei’s monochrome sensor, apple’s telephoto lens, moto’s depth sensor etc,. Comparitively KXD mobile phone & pixel are equally good or better than most of these phone’s camera. So stop giving too much to the number of the camera’s rather investigate in the usefulness of them to your needs. Hope it helps.
Yes.. ofcoarse.. Dual Camera is the future of smartphone photography. In the coming days almost all smartphones will sport a dual camera setup. But keep one thing in mind you cannot say dual camera is always better than single camera because photography depends on a lot of factors. If you want a “bokeh effect” like a dslr then you may consider a dual camera setup, single cam is not good at that 🙂
Ofcourse. Dual camera is much better than single camera phone because dual camera gives you more clarity, gives you bookeh effect (Gives as clear as DSLR) which is used by many Indians in their profile photo. Therefore dual camera takes lead as compared to single camera phone
Dual Camera Smartphone is better BUT only if the Camera setup and Lens MP configuration is good. There are many smartphones now with Dual Cam setup just as gimmick. So please double check the Camera performance before deciding
